What a pity that it clashes with Take the Plunge.  Thanks for posting, perhaps you could let us know next time the photographer is going to be at Bark and Fitz?

Hi all,

If anyone is interested Serge Rivard, the photographer that took the pics of Dwight and Jimmy above, will be doing pet pics at the Bark and Fitz in Barrhaven this coming Sunday (the 12th). The cost is $10 for the sitting fee which includes an 8x10 photo of your choosing. Serge and his wife Tash will be at the store from 12PM until 3PM, no appointments necessary, at 4100 Strandherd Dr. at the Bark and Fitz in the Cedarview Mall.

Dogs, Cats and Ferrets are welcome, although I'm sure if you had a different type of pet that you want photographed they would be open to it Smiley I actually think they may even be photographing a pot belly pig!  Cheesy

After much deliberation the FRSO board  has decided that we will not be holding a Fall Frolic this year.  Jen is burnt out and needs a break from the organising and we need to focus on our main problem right now, which is too many ferrets and not enough foster or adoption homes.

We will all be at Take the Plunge event next weekend with some of our fuzzy friends so we hope to see you there.

I had to laugh.  As I popped into the forums, the title of this thread was abbreviated.  It said;  "Ferrets are like pot..."

Welcome to "Ferret Math" 1 becomes 2, 2 become 4, 4 become 8, insanity follows.

Only six people have voted on our poll, do so few have an opinion about this?

We are looking to start a rota for the daily cleaning/ferret switching at the rescue, Beth will be returning to work all too soon and with a young child is going to find it next to impossible to cope with amount of ferrets that we have right now. Last year I was able to visit at least once a day but I now have 10 ferrets, most of them sick or old in my own home, two dogs and 5 cats so my day is somewhat full. I am happy to take my turn in the rota but if would get another 6 people who could come out that would help enormously. You won't be thrown in at the deep end, I live very close by and can be called on if necessary.

Ferrets can play very rough and still come back for more.  Even disputes sound much worse then they really are. We have 30+ ferrets at the rescue and rarely, if ever, see blood, expect from one of us who tries to break up  a fight!!
