Title: Sheppard & Greene Adult Ferret food
Post by: Rickd on May 16, 2011, 07:47:52 AM
It appears that no stores stock Sheppard & Greene. I have tried all Petsmart locations and was told at one that Petsmart is no longer stocking the product.

I tried ordering online at Ferret.Com but they won't ship ferret food to Canada.

Any suggestions for a supply?

Trying a smaller pet store retailer may be another option. Such as Critter Jungle, Sandy Hill Pet Food Co-Op, Global Pet Foods, March Road Pet Food or a privately owned Pet Valu. The rescue has had much more success at ordering individual bags of food or foods that the stores don't usually stock by going this route. The store owners are also willing to help and go the extra mile.

Good luck!

Petsmart has cut back on a lot of their brands. It also appears they have removed Totally Ferret from most of their stores.

I also understand the challenges US online stores when shipping pet food products across the border thanks to the CBSA rules, so am not surprised ferret.com won't ship food here.

That doesn't leave many options if the smaller stores won't or can't order the food. What we had to do in the early days was contact the manufacturer to find out if they had a distributer in Eastern Ontario and then contact the distributer to see what stores they serviced and then contact the stores to see if they would place a special order for us.

Leis Pet is the major distributer in Eastern Ontario and they do not list this product so it's not going to be easy (short of shipping to a US mailing address and then dealing with the challenges of legally bringing it across the border yourself).  Sorry I can't be much help with this.
