Ferretvite

Does anybody know a supplier that stocks Ferretvite? Petsmart has discontinued stocking the product and we have an old ferret who is very dear to us. He is 9 years old but has cancer. Considering his health issues he is doing amazingly well but Ferretvite is a major ingredient to his daily diet.

I have ordered 4 tubes from Montreal Critters but if anyone knows a supplier around the Ottawa area would appreciate hearing.

Update (Nov 23): Montreal Critters (very nice organization to deal with) advised me Ferretvite is a hard-to-get product but they are making inquiries with their suppliers.

Here's a suggestion:

As one of the foster homes that houses older, terminally ill and chronically ill ferrets, I usually use "Nutrical" instead of "Ferrovite". It contains more protein and more calories, and can be used as a meal supplement. However, it is more expensive, about $15 for a tube and can only be purchase at the vets.

Just an idea or another option.
