For those who don't know, Dr. Auger will be leaving Blair Animal Hospital in a couple of weeks and opening his own clinic sometime in March.  The address and phone # for the new clinic are:

Daren C. Auger DVM
Crown Pointe Animal Hospital
8 - 900 Watters Rd  (at Trim Rd)
Ottawa, Ont.
K4A 0B4
613-845-0254
613-845-0273  (fax)

Is the new clinic open yet??

We're going to need more Enacard in a week or so, and Roxy's coming due for her Lupron shot... If it's not open yet, any suggestions on what we should do? We're not interested in establishing anything long term with a new vet, since Dr. Auger's been so amazing with Roxy. (He caught her very early adrenal and very early cardiomyopathy in one visit apiece with no unnecessary tests!  Grin)

The clinic is still under construction.  You can see the construction photos on their website at www.crownpointeanimalhospital.com

You should be able to pick up any meds and receive Lupron shots at Blair.  It's my understanding that Dr. Walther and one of the new vets there will be treating ferrets.

Also note that Dr. Auger made arrangements with Carling Animal Hospital to treat his "patients" during the transition.  The only drawback is you would have to transfer your file from Blair to Carling in order for them to prescribe meds.

Actually, this is a simple process...  Once you book an appointment with another clinic, just tell them that you are a Blair customer and that you wouldlike to have your files transferred. They will they can call Blair to fax your kid's files over to them for you.

FYI, Dr Auger is no longer at Crown Pointe.  The best alternative is Carling Animal Hospital.
