I kept two insulinomic ferrets alive 2 years and 2 1/2 years on this mix, after they'd been given a 8 month life expectancy, so I like it!!
2-3 cups high quality ferret or kitten food (whichever the ferret likes best - for me I used Eukanuba kitten) 4 jars chicken baby food 2 eggs yolks 1/2 cup olive oil (or canola etc.) 1/4 cup brewer's yeast (a blood sugar stabalizer, can get in health food stores in bulk)
Soak kibble in water overnight. Add all other ingredients and blend till smooth, adding more water if neccesary. Pour into ice cube trays, freeze, then store cubes in sealable freezer bags. When needed, zap till melted, stir, adjust temperature as needed.
