I'd like to see a separate 'Best Buys for Supplies' subject heading.  I suggest a new forum beside the General Discussion forum, where we could start posting a topic for each brand of food, for example, or other items.  The first posting in each topic would list a price for that brand or item, and then others could post replies if they see a source that can beat that price or that is a good or convenient source.
