Our History
The Ferret Rescue Society of Ottawa and Area (FRSO) became a registered
Ontario Not For Profit Corporation in January of 2002 and a Federal
Registered Charity in January 2007.
Each year we take in and adopt out more ferrets as they become more recognized and well known. The increasing number of ferrets in our care also raises our fundraising demands. Following are some statistics from past years:

To help pay our growing expenses, we undertake a number of fundraising activities. These include:
* Ferret Frolics
* Product Sales
* Donations (cash, pennies, Canadian Tire money, ferret products and garage sale items)
* Annual Membership dues.
* Special Events, such as concerts and Take
The Plunge!.
As with all other volunteer organizations, we would not exist without the dedication of our members and the generosity of our supporters!
